Stinger’s WWE Unforgiven 2008 Predictions
- WWE Championship Scramble Match: As much I’d like to see THE Brian Kendrick, or Shelton Benjamin win the championship, I don’t think it’s likely. My brain tells me Triple H will retain. My gut tells me Jeff Hardy will win the WWE Championship. Conflicted, but I’ll go with my gut over my brain this time. WINNER – JEFF HARDY
- World Championship Scramble Match: The announcers have been totally guaranteeing that the underdog champion loses his title at Unforgiven. For this reason alone, I’m confident in saying the “underdog” will walk out with his championship still intact. WINNER – CM Punk
- ECW Championship Scramble Match: I do watch ECW on Tuesday night’s, but I really have no interest in this match. And the fact that this dud will last for twenty minutes is a sore spot on an otherwise decent looking event. I wouldn’t be surprised to see Mark Henry retain, but I’ll go with a hope for this one. Matt Hardy, it’d be cool to see both Hardy’s walk out of Unforgiven a champion of their brand. WINNER – Matt Hardy
- Divas Championship Match: We could have had a good women’s match with Beth Phoenix against Mickie James, instead we get a match between two women who can’t wrestle. At least they look good though, that does help. McCool should never have won the Diva’s Championship; it should have been Natalya or Victoria. But she did, and now she’s defending it against Maryse of all people. No title change here. WINNER – Michelle McCool
- Shawn Michaels vs. Chris Jericho: This has been the best feud on RAW this year, and this is a match that I am very interested in seeing. The situation regarding Michaels and his triceps injury adds intrigue to the match. They report was that it wasn’t that bad and he’s good to go, but the match could be hindered if they play it safe (although you don’t want to see Michaels get injured worse if they do go all out). The unsanctioned, no holds barred aspects means this could be one of the best brawls in recent WWE memory. I really want Jericho to win, put Michaels out with his injury, and for the feud to commence later (preferably WrestleMania), but I don’t see that happening. Got to go with my gut on this one… WINNER – Shawn Michaels
- World Tag Team Championship Match: DiBiase and Rhodes managed to follow Orton’s advice last week and take their titles back from Cryme Tyme coming into this match Sunday. Both of these teams are decent, so I could see it going either way. I think we’re going to see a stable consisting of Orton, DiBiase and Rhodes when Orton comes back, so I don’t really see The Priceless Team losing this time. WINNERS – Ted DiBiase and Cody Rhodes
